Dr. Ashley Reader is a board-certified dermatologist that specializes in the prevention, detection, and treatment of skin cancer, as well as other disorders of the skin, hair, and nails. Along with general dermatology, she takes a special interest in both cosmetic and surgical dermatology. Her formal education and training include:
- University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY) – BS, Biology
- Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (Pikeville, KY) – Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Largo Medical Center (Largo, FL) – Traditional Rotating Internship
- St. Joseph Mercy Health System (Ann Arbor, MI) – Dermatology Residency (Chief Resident)
Dr. Reader’s involvement in research/clinical trials has facilitated a host of publications in major dermatology journals. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery (ASLMS) amongst others.
In her spare time, Dr. Reader enjoys spending time with her husband exploring the great outdoors. She is an avid hiker, runner, and biker. She also enjoys tennis and is a die-hard Kentucky basketball fan.
