Committed to providing Epiphany patients with access to care and an exceptional financial experience, Shannen leads revenue operations. Among her top focuses are overseeing patient billing and inquiries, and facilitating relationships with health insurance companies to help ensure claims are paid correctly. Shannen also partners with providers and internal stakeholders to share patient feedback, educates on best practices, and seeks ways to improve overall revenue cycle performance—whether it’s through communication and education to staff, working with health insurers, leveraging IT automation, or implementing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiencies.
Shannen received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Southeastern University, with a Minor in Finance. Her experience with healthcare began in 2012 when she worked for a national multisite oncology organization. There she focused on optimizing financial performance and patient access across 100+ facilities.
Shannen is married with three children. She enjoys baking with her kids, traveling, and just about any activity in the great outdoors.
