Pamela Matthews is a certified physician assistant who strives to provide high quality, compassionate, and up-to-date care for all her patients. She brings several years of experience as a physician assistant to help manage the dermatologic needs of patients of all ages and skin types. Her formal education and training include:
- University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY) – BS, Biology
- University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY) – BHS, Physician Assistant Studies
In addition to her experience in dermatologic services, Pamela has assisted in the fields of pediatric orthopedics, general surgery, and family medicine.
Pamela believes in giving back to the community, and this includes volunteering on medical mission trips to Ambato, Ecuador, Tiquisate, Guatemala, and San Marcos, Guatemala. She is BLS and ACLS certified through the American Heart Association, and a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA). She has completed the dermatology Diplomate Fellowship Program through the SDPA.
In her spare time, Pamela enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her dog and traveling the world experiencing other cultures and cuisine with her husband and two children, Morgan and Lochlan.
