Dr. Mark H. Lowitt is a board-certified dermatologist with extensive experience in clinical practice, dermatologic education, and executive oversight. He is dedicated to advancing the field of dermatology and providing high-quality care to his patients. Dr. Lowitt’s formal education and training include:

Dr. Lowitt has been in practice for over 30 years and is highly regarded for his dermatology contributions, leadership roles, and dedication to medical education. He has held numerous academic and administrative positions, including Vice-Chairman, Residency Program Director and Head of Medical Student Dermatology, while teaching at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Dr. Lowitt is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS). In addition to winning numerous teaching awards, he has published seven textbook chapters, 27 medical journal articles, 10 scientific abstracts and has presented more than 200 oral presentations.
In his spare time, Dr. Lowitt is an accomplished classical vocalist who has performed as a member and soloist of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society for more than 20 years. He serves as cantor and tenor section leader at the Cathedral of Mary our Queen. He resides in Baltimore, has three adult children, and many pets.
