Dr. Rachael Earnest is a board-certified dermatologist who practices the full range of medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology. Her formal education and training include:
- Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, LA) – BS, Biology (magna cum laude)
- Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (Shreveport, LA) – Doctor of Medicine
- Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center (Denver, CO) – Internal Medicine Internship
- University of Kansas Medical Center (Kansas City, KS) – Dermatology Residency
- University of Kansas Medical Center (Kansas City, KS) – Chief Resident
During her training, Dr. Earnest provided skin cancer screenings across rural Kansas, volunteered at KC Care Health Clinic, as well as at “Melanoma Monday” each year which provides free skin cancer screenings for the community. She spent many months of her dermatology training at Children’s Mercy Hospital practicing under several pediatric dermatologists as well as the Kansas City VA Medical Center helping care for our nation’s veterans. Upon completing her dermatology training, she was awarded the Joseph Blackmon resident of distinction award scoring the highest in the program on the annual dermatology in-service examination.
Dr. Earnest has been published in academic journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD). She is also an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society (AΩA).
In her spare time, Dr. Earnest enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, skiing, and hiking.
